Stick

Ruthie Jane has recently developed a love for stickers. I say, "recently" because in the past she has cringed at the thought of one on her body.

A member of our church placed one on her hand one evening after church while we were eating at Braum's and she cried until he took it back off. She was appalled at the other children who were putting stickers all over their faces, hands, and clothing.
She panics each time the Wal-mart greeters reach for their roll of stickers to place one on her shirt. She hustles to the right side of my body getting as far away from them as she possibly can.
She wanted nothing to do with stickers...

Until a few days ago. I gave her a small pad of stickers in hopes to keep her busy, and that it did! She played with them for days. Of course, she stuck them every place possible. Luckily they were old, so they didn't stick well, therefore no destruction has taken place. She even got her daddy in on the game! (surprise, surprise) I am convinced he would allow her to do absolutely anything she wanted! She had a blast sticking them all over his face, shirt, pants, hair, wherever!

I am anxious to see how she reacts when we go to Wal-mart next.
As for now...she's having a blast!

  2. So buy cartoon bandaids and tell her they are stickers. See if that helps with her aversion to them. Just an idea.....
