Normally the parsonage is empty on a Friday night. We are usually out to eat, fellowshiping with friends, or have some sort of obligation. And, if there is a free Friday night that we're home we have a regular Friday evening visitor who stops by. This visitor stays a couple of hours whether we have dinner, houseguests, or a project to work on. He's quite the talker. I know he thoroughly enjoys his Friday evening visits with the Preacher Man family and we enjoy him too. But, it's nice to have a Friday evening alone.
This Friday we were alone.
It was nice.
We splurged.
We started out with a loaded Stuffed Crust Pizza from Pizza Hut
Honey Chipotle Wings from the freezer
Moutain Dew from the can
We ended the evening with a fun-loving feel good movie.
Robots.And, of course with movies come popcorn.
But, I forgot to take the BEFORE picture. So all you get is the AFTER.
Such a wonderful eveing with my sweet little family of three, plus the gazillion baby dolls that have to watch the movie with us.

ReplyDeleteGrandma begged to have our kids for awhile, so we are having a date-filled weekend! I miss my babies, but it's fun to have time together! We also relocated the four baby bunnies whose mommy thought it would be cool to birth them smack in the middle of my garden...

Whenever we have a Friday night at home with no *plans*, it's automatically Family Pizza & a Movie Night. The kiddos love it! We usually make the pizza, the kids love to make their own, and rent a family movie. And there's usually popcorn involved, too:)
