Snow Day

We're snowed in.
We didn't receive the amount of snow that we could have, but enough to keep us tucked inside to stay warm. The freezing temperatures and icy roads are enough to cancel schools around these parts. I love snow days, as long as I have electric. And, we do!

We took Cutie Pie out for a few brief moments to get her mittens in the snow. She was so excited to go outside! But, you will see...not so excited to come inside!

Life's tough!

A few weeks ago at church our children's department made these bird feeders that went along with their lesson. I know the birdies appreciated it on a day like today!!


We had a great game of Life.
We bought this Sponge Bob version while in youth ministry.
It was definately a hit with a two year old too!






After supper the three of us sat around the dining room table with a cup of hot chocolate in hand. We began talking and it led to more of a interview type conversation. Here's how it went:

Me: What's your name?
RJ: Ruthie (pronounced Roofie)
Me: What's your favorite color?
RJ: White
Daddy: What do you want to be when you grow up?
RJ: A big girl. So, I can sit on the Big Girl potty all by myself.
Daddy: Where do you want to work?
RJ: California
Daddy: What would you do in California?
RJ: Eat all the corn, you know like the farmers do.
Daddy: How do you grow corn?
RJ: Outside
Daddy: Would you put the corn inside of something to grow it ?
RJ: Yeah, in the pumpkins.
Me: What kind of work does Daddy do?
RJ: Um, he goes to big boy school, feeds Purpie (the fish), and we could all have a fun day at Chuck E. Cheese's.
Daddy: What does Mommy do?
RJ: Play games all day.
      Without us.
      Ok, see you.
      Bye.


Needless to say, we had a LOT of fun with this.
A two-year old has no concept of real life.
It's fantastic.
